Mehmet Sakallıoğlu who has been producing wiring harnesses for the local Ford Tractors succeed to manufacture the first Dynamo in Turkey
1978
Foundation of ME-SA Elektrodizel A.Ş. by Mehmet Sakallıoğlu & Nirun Şahingiray
1982
Lucas Industries Plc. Becomes a shareholder to ME-SA Elektrodizel A.Ş.
1987
Lucas UK acquires the preferential voting rights and the company name has been changed to Lucas Elektrik A.Ş.

Lucas and Varity merger
